# Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ViewHatch website and the
ViewHatch Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector (together, the "Service"), provided by
ViewHatch ("ViewHatch", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If
you do not agree, do not use the Service.

## What the Service does

ViewHatch lets an AI chat client read a site's **publicly published, structured
descriptions** and present them to you safely. The connector exposes **read-only**
capabilities: it discovers and reads a site's descriptor and catalog data and renders
an inert view in your chat client's sandbox. It does not act on your behalf beyond
reading, and it presents any purchase as a **human-gated handoff**: you review what you
are buying and complete the purchase yourself, on the merchant's own site.

## No sale by ViewHatch; merchant relationships

ViewHatch is **not** the seller or merchant of any goods or services you may discover
through the Service, is not a party to any transaction between you and a merchant, and
does not process payments. Purchases are governed solely by the terms and policies of
the merchant whose site you transact on. ViewHatch makes no representation or warranty
about any merchant, product, price, or availability.

## Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) break the law or infringe others' rights;
(b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, or overload the Service or any
site it reaches; (c) circumvent the Service's read-only and human-gated design; or
(d) misuse content obtained through the Service.

## Content from third-party sites

Content returned through the connector originates from third-party sites and is treated
as **untrusted**. ViewHatch does not endorse, verify the accuracy of, or take
responsibility for third-party content, and displaying it does not imply any
relationship with the source site.

## Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or
discontinue any part of it at any time, and we may update these Terms; continued use
after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

## Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND,
WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

## Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIEWHATCH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS,
REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE,
INCLUDING ANY TRANSACTION YOU ENTER INTO WITH A THIRD-PARTY MERCHANT.
