# Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ViewHatch ("ViewHatch", "we", "us")
collects and how we use it, both on this website and through the ViewHatch Model
Context Protocol (MCP) connector. It is written to be accurate to how the service
actually behaves; where our practices change, this document will be updated.

## Summary

- This website sets **no cookies**, runs **no analytics**, and includes **no
  third-party trackers or telemetry**. Simply visiting the site does not create a
  profile of you.
- The only information we collect is what you **choose to send us** through the
  contact form.
- The ViewHatch connector is **read-only**. It reads a site's published, structured
  descriptions on your behalf; it does not create accounts, and it never asks for or
  stores payment credentials.
- We do **not** sell or rent personal information.

## Information we collect

**Contact form.** If you use the contact form on this site, we receive the name,
email address, and message you submit. We use this solely to read and respond to your
inquiry. We do not use it for marketing and do not share it with third parties except
as needed to transport the message (our email provider) or where required by law.

**Server logs.** Our hosting provider may process standard, transient request metadata
(such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and secure the site. We do not build
advertising or behavioral profiles from this data.

**The connector.** When the ViewHatch connector acts on your request in an AI chat
client, it fetches and returns a site's **publicly published** structured data
(product descriptions, catalog and manifest files). The content it returns is treated
as untrusted and is rendered in your chat client's own sandbox. The connector performs
only reads; it does not submit forms, make purchases, or transmit payment information.

## Commerce and payments

ViewHatch never processes payments and never receives, holds, or transmits card
numbers, banking details, or other payment credentials. When you choose to buy from a
merchant you discovered through ViewHatch, you complete that purchase **on the
merchant's own site**, under that merchant's terms and privacy policy. Any payment data
is exchanged directly between you and the merchant (or their payment processor), never
through ViewHatch.

## How we use information

We use the limited information above only to: (1) respond to messages you send us;
(2) operate, secure, and maintain the site and connector; and (3) comply with
applicable law. We do not use it for profiling, advertising, or automated decisions
that produce legal effects.

## Retention

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any
reasonable follow-up, then delete them. Transient server logs are retained only for the
short period our hosting provider needs for delivery and security.

## Your choices

You may contact us at any time (see below) to ask what message data we hold about you,
to request its correction, or to request its deletion. Because we collect so little,
these requests are usually straightforward to honor.

## Children

This service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information
from children.

## Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by
updating the "Last updated" date above.
